Sublimation is the process of transferring dye to a fabric using heat. The images and graphics are printed on special paper placed on the garment and heat is applied, allowing the ink to become part of the fabric. This will leave you with a more breathable, soft-hand feel to the fabric. The best part is that the numbers, letters, and graphics do not peel, wear off, or come out in the wash!
Sublimation can only be applied to Polyester, all sublimated garments start life as a plain white Polyester Fabric. Sublimation is a great process that allows for vibrant, full color, all-over prints that are exceptionally durable. Naturally the magic of the process lies in the printing technology. With designs infused directly onto the fabric, they become a part of the fabric itself. All of the design elements including the team logo, colors, and numbers become a part of the fabric in sublimation as opposed to other processes like embroidery, where they’re “sewn” onto the surface. So, there’s no scope for the colors or logos to peel off or fade in sublimated jerseys!
Besides the high temperature and pressures used in sublimation convert the prints into gas, which bonds firmly with the molecules of the fabric, fully integrating with them. Totally inseparable!
Use our bespoke Kit Designer to come up with your own kit design ideas. Once you are happy with your design, submit it to our designers to get it just right for you. As this is a bespoke product there is a lead time for production.
Our team will produce a design to your exact brief which will be then crafted in hard wearing sublimated polyester, with the utmost attention to detail.
1. The design.
Once you are happy with your basic kit design submit it to us, together with your logos and any specific pantone colours, and our in house design team will then work with your design to produce the final artwork for your approval. The best prints really need logos supplying as EPS files, if you don’t have them then we can convert JPGS to EPS files, but these will be charged at £25 per logo. We will then amend artwork as necessary until we have a design you are happy to proceed with. Artwork is charged at £25 per design with up to 3 revisions. If you proceed to a minimum order of 12 items your artwork is free of charge.
Step 2. The Sample.
When you are satisfied with your artwork its time to place your order. Your initial order must be for a minimum of 12 items, repeat orders are only 6, minimum of 2 per size. If required we can provide an actual sample of your chosen garment within four weeks for your approval. Samples are charged at £50 per item. If you proceed to a minimum order of 12 items your sample is free of charge.
Step 3. The delivery.
Bulk delivery of your order normally takes six to eight weeks from approval of sample or artwork.
